Requirements for opening an NMBLite Account

•    Dial *241# and select option 2 to open new NMB Account

•    Agree to Terms and Conditions

•    Select Either Option1: Individual ZWL Account / Option 2: Individual USD Nostro Account

•    Enter National ID in this format (07000000Q99)

•    Enter Date of Birth in the format (yyyy-MM-dd) e.g 1990-11-20

•    Do you want to Register for Ecocash (Yes/No)?

•    Enter Ecocash Number if it was yes on the previous option



 

You can also open an NMBLite, Savings or Current account on the NMBConnect App. NMBConnect App is available for download on Play Store or  App store. 


• Open the App

• Click on the open new account tab

• Select the type of account required

• Select the currency

• Click yes or no on the citizen section

• Go through the requirements

• Click next

• Enter your personal information

• Enter your contact details

• Enter your employment details

• Upload your documents

• Sign

• Accept the terms and conditions

• Select the branch of your choice

• Select the services you would like to be linked to



Requirements for opening a personal Current Account

 

You can open this account in the comfort of your home through our NMBConnect App. Below are the documents that are required for the online account opening process. 

  • Proof of residence e.g. ZESA, TelOne or Municipality bill (not more than 3months old)if the bill is not in your name, you will need to attach an affidavit prepared by the person whose name appears on the bill or get a confirmation of your address by your employer to support the bill. In a case where the place is owned by a parent, you may use a utility bill as support for the bill. 
  • Copy of national I.D, driver’s license or valid passport
  • Two passport sized photos
  • Copy of current pay slip / proof if income 
  • Confirmation letter from employer


 

Requirements for opening a Savings Account
